Honey let's go to the moon

Fiancé: We have three months before the wedding, let's decide on our honeymoon too now, and let's make the necessary bookings too.

Fiancée: I'm marrying the right man. Let's decide on our honeymoon now.

Fiancé: I want to go to the moon.

Fiancée: You want to go where?

Fiancé: What I meant is that I want to go to some place and let everything slow down, like the gravity on the moon.

Fiancée: Keep talking.

Fiancé: The next three months are going to be really rushed. Just imagine, next Monday we are actually gate crashing some else's wedding to taste the food the caterer will be serving on our wedding day.

Fiancée: How else will we know what kind of food will be served?

Fiancé: Then preparations for the engagement, and going around inviting people, getting our clothes ready, and the nitty gritty details, there's a lot to do and we both will be exhausted when the wedding is over.

Fiancée: So you want to have a very relaxed honeymoon.

Fiancé: I hope you understand what I'm saying. Let's just go someplace and rest and bring back the romance.

Fiancée: I really miss the long rides we used to take on your bike when we just started dating. It used to be so much fun. We would cruise along for at least two hours and have something to eat at road side stalls.

Fiancé: Exactly my point. I want to just relax and spend time with you. We'll find ourselves a very posh hotel so we won't be motivated to step outside. We could wake up late and sit by the pool the whole morning, swim if we felt like.

Fiancée: We won't step out of the hotel at all?

Fiancé: We'll go out in the evenings, for a walk, just roam the streets, do some window shopping, some real shopping if you see something you like. Go to a garden, visit a museum, nothing hectic.

Fiancée: I like the shopping part.

Fiancé: I did some thinking and came up with these thoughts. Our parents and grand parents had arranged marriages. They hardly met before the wedding so the honeymoon was a time for them go get to know each other and back then they were also keen to prove their fertility and produce children in the first year of marriage.

Fiancée: We are not having kids for two years at least.

Fiancé: We'll discuss that later. Let's go on our honeymoon and we'll have enough time to discuss and plan babies.

Dear Sir,

I have a traveling job and need to meet clients within the Mumbai city limits. For the past one year I have used the public transport system to reach out to my clients and have missed many important meetings due to delays in the train service and traffic problems. I finally decided to purchase a two wheeler to assist me reach my appointments in time and with a commitment to buy a scooter I went to your retail showroom in Borivali (W) yesterday afternoon.

Your receptionist took some details and asked me to wait for a salesman, who would help me with the details of the various models and financial aspects. Even though there was no other customer, it took the salesman half an hour before he could attend to me. In five minutes he rushed through all the details and said that I should book the vehicle immediately since there were very few vehicles left and then the waiting period for the new consignment was not known. He said all this with a tone of arrogance and whispered to the receptionist that women don’t know anything about vehicles and should not be riding them on the roads for the safety of other vehicles and people.

I am definitely not buying a scooter from your showroom if this is how your staff treat the clients. Your salesman’s rude behaviour will surely harm your business and ruin the reputation of your brand. I hope you will take necessary steps to correct the attitude and behaviour of your staff and ensure that customers do not walk away from your business because of your incompetent staff.

Yours truly,

Bani Ramchandra
